I'm no gamer, let alone a sports gamer, but there's no denying that this tribute to Snowboard Supercross's Eddie Wachowski is COOL. Generally speaking, simple head-shots have a tendancy to be boring. However, the design of the face here is sharply caricatured while the coloring is handled with a level of texture edging towards realism. Like a bold, deliberately retro billboard, this picture grabs yours eyes and doesn't let 'em go. (Suggested by `delya and Featured by `animator)

Oooh, yeah, love them colors! Go go orange-and-blue complementary scheme! That's cool how you did the pattern on his shirt, too: how'd you do that?!

Thankyou so much! I love the orange/blue contrast way too much XD.
For the shirt, I overlayed a hawaiian print on low opacity, and smudged it around with the "Liquefy" filter to make it look crazy and more 70s-ish :D

:D I hear it... I was starting another pic the other day and thought, "What color scheme shall I use? Oh, I know--yellow and purple, 'cause I've never done that before!" *eyeroll*

I love yellow and purple...i end up always giving purpley shadows with stark yellow lights because...you know...i am obsessed with the way yellow highlights look hahaha. :XD:

Man. The way you color and do noses and everything is absolutely superb man. This is just awesome. X) You are hardcore rockin'. I am obsessed with how his nose looks.
